The One Lovely Blog Award

Thank you to Hannah at LuxuryBlush.co.uk for tagging me for this! I really like this kind of thing that can be shared around the blogging community and it really made my day to be nominated.

The Rules:

  • Once you’re nominated you should write a post about the award, and share seven facts about yourself; that your readers do not know.
  • Nominate as many bloggers as you like (maximum of fifteen) to do the tag as well and let them know that they have been nominated.

L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Glow Scrub Review

Today I’ll be reviewing the new L’Oreal Pure Clay Glow Scrub. I picked this up in Superdrug while on its introductory offer, priced at £3.99. The regular RRP is £5.99. Typically I prefer to use chemical exfoliation, but I’ve been wanting to incorporate the occasional physical exfoliant too. Scrubs are really satisfying and I like the super-smooth feeling you tend to get afterwards. I thought the clay would be a nice bonus and that it would possibly double as a quick clay mask too. I chose the red ‘glow’ scrub as brightening up my skin and having a nice smooth base for makeup is my main skincare goal right now.

Best Budget Lip Colours for Spring Makeup!

Hey everyone! Today I’ll be talking about my personal favourite lip colours for spring makeup looks! Usually in springtime I like to go for nudes and pinks on my lips, although it can be a little challenging to find pinks that really suit my olive skin. Any sort of pastel colours tend to make me look washed out and ill!

These are the lip colours I find myself reaching for a lot at this time of year, and that I have found are really great quality options for those of us on a smaller budget! I’ve tried to get the best natural lighting possible and left the images completely unedited so that the swatches are true to colour. I’ve included the prices as they are listed in Boots, as this is where I purchased them.

My Top Skincare Picks

Today I’m going to be talking about my top skincare products. These are things that I’ve been using for quite a time now, and that I see no reason to try and replace (even though I’m usually the type of person to always want to try new products!) because they serve me so well. Naturally, what works for me may not work for you, so bear that in mind while reading this list.

For reference, my skin is combination, often dehydrated, and very acne prone.

This First Post Is A Little Bit Personal

It’s quite daunting writing this first post, getting ready to put myself and my thoughts out there for the world to see. It’s also very exciting! I’ve already been connecting with some other bloggers and beauty enthusiasts on Twitter and Instagram, and it’s been absolutely lovely, so I’m really looking forward to meeting more new people both there and here on the blog.

What is my hand doing in that third picture? Who knows?
