Today my June edition of the You Beauty Box arrived! I chose my items on the first of the month and I’m really glad I did as some of the items went out of stock quickly! I’m happy to say that I got all the items I picked out.
If you haven’t heard of You Beauty Box or don’t know how it works, you can find out more in my review of the service.
The items I chose this month are:
- Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners Ultra Moisturising Hand Therapy: I love hand creams so this was a must-try for me. It has a beautiful and delicate, sweet fragrance to it so I look forward to testing it out. I’m sure this will feature when I write a post on hand creams (which I inevitably will because I love having soft hands!)
- AA Skincare Essentials Collection Frankincense & Rose Face Toner: I’d never heard of AA skincare before, but I’ve since heard good things about them on Twitter. I tested it out this afternoon when it was boiling hot out and this was so lovely and refreshing. It smells gorgeous and the smell fades quickly so it doesn’t overpower. It’s definitely something I’ll keep in my bag during the warmer months for when I’m feeling overheated.
- The Vintage Cosmetics Company Slanted Tweezers: This is one of the items that was out of stock very quickly and I’m not surprised as they are very pretty and are normally valued at almost the same price as the whole monthly box! I’m really glad I got some as I’m always misplacing my tweezers!
- Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in ‘Hibiscus’: This is nice and moisturising and gives just a hint of colour, making it perfect for no- and minimal-makeup days. The downside is that I will likely use it up very quickly as I like it so much, and it costs more than I’d really like to pay for a lip balm. Who knows though, I might end up repurchasing this one as it’s really pretty!
In addition to the items I chose, I also received a sample of Organii Everyday Organics sunscreen (SPF50), a sample tea bag from We Are Tea (which I’ve just tasted and is lovely!), and a 50ml tube of Moisture Seal Hair Healer Leave-In Conditioner from Charles Worthington London, which smells delightful and isn’t silicone-based so I’ll be trying that out tonight.
I’m so happy with this box and I’m excited to use every single item. Like I said in my last post about it, I would definitely recommend You Beauty Box if you’re looking for a subscription, especially if you’ve been discouraged from other subscriptions because of lack of customisation or getting things you don’t like!
Let me know if you have any questions and I will answer as best I can. Also tell me which, if any, subscription boxes you have tried and what you think of them! I always love to hear from you!
If we haven’t yet connected on social media, you can find me via the buttons in the top right or the links below. I’ll likely be posting my initial thoughts on the Charles Worthington Hair Healer as well as other items on Instagram first, before I write out any in-depth review, so follow there if you’d like see that. And if any of you have any tips about using Pinterest, I’d definitely appreciate them as I’m very new to it!
