Hello! Here I am with a look into what I received in the May edition of the You Beauty Box. I was very excited when it arrived! It’s like getting a present with the postie.
To find out more about the You Beauty Box and how it works, you can read my initial review of the service, or check out their website.
The items I chose for my first ever You Beauty Box were:
- Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (236ml): I heard good things about this cleanser while doing a lot of research when I was first getting really into skincare, so I’m glad to have the opportunity to try it out before I go on to the next tube of my go-to CosRX Good Morning Gel.
- Merci Handy Cleansing Hand Gel (30ml): From what I can see this has been in a few different subscription boxes lately. I’m quite picky about scents and haven’t managed to find a hand sanitiser that I don’t hate. I was hoping for the vanilla scent, which I got, and I really like it! It’s the kind of thing that’s always useful to have in your bag/car/desk.
- Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels: I’m going to be trying these tonight and I’m really looking forward to relaxing with them. My eyes have been so tired lately so I’m hoping these will offer some well needed refreshment!
- Indeed Labs 10 Balm Smoothing Cream: This I tried out last night and this morning and it’s a lovely cream, and definitely does have that smoothing effect that is advertised. I will do a full review of this soon!
I also received some foil samples and £5 off voucher from Gazelli Skincare. While I really enjoy trying out samples of different products, I won’t be buying any of these because they are just so expensive for the full size. I feel like there are plenty of effective skincare options at much more affordable prices.
Because I am a gold subscriber (the 4 product tier for £10.95), I also received a BellaPierre lipstick in the lovely pink shade ‘Catwalk’, which I think is a gorgeous shade for spring that will work well for any occasion.
I’m very pleased with my first box, and so glad that I decided to give it a try. I’m very much looking forward to picking out my treats again on the first of next month! Like I said in my review of the You Beauty Box service, I would definitely recommend it!
